The final speech

Eventually we entered the huge conference room. Delegates sat in their
places with the names of their countries, simultaneous translating
machines and lap top computers. They listened to speeches from many
people representing the different interest groups of the world,
including Mayor Bloomberg of New York who was representing the
Municipal organisations of the world. Then it was our turn. We stepped
up onto the stage in front of the conference hall and stood still
while the Youth Delegation, including Bambou presented their speeches.
At the end the applause was deafening, people were standing up, men
were even crying. It was quite scary, but also exciting and unreal.
All sorts of peopple shook our hands and hugged us and thanked us.

You can see the speech from the Youth Delegation, including Bambou by

Hi,
My name is Bambou, I was the girl who made the final speech at the UNFCCC conference. I went on the 14th with my class. It was a very nervous experience but I enjoyed it. I was afraid people weren't gonna like my short earth poem. We were interviewed by a lot of people, there were a lot of cameras flashing by. It felt really nice, everybody liked it. The weather was hot and we had to walk around most of the time. A lot of people made collection of toys, flyers and pins. We were given little green fabric to tie on our arm. We were also asked if we wanted to make our fingers green. It was really great and by the end of the trip we all had happy green fingers! Bambou!!

Most of the time we were performing in the main entrance, But on the next day we performed to the Austrian and German environment ministers. Lots of photographers were taking pictures and iterviewing us. Then wiro was chasing the environment minister .On the last day we performed in the conference room infront of many envioronmental ministers.

My name is Rio i went to the UNFCCC i am a boy in the pictures the tallest one. When I came into the drive way of the UNFCCC in the bus I felt very excited, my hart started to beat like a drum. We got off the bus miss. kayti was leading the way I felt important walking on the pathway. We were nearly there at the ID counter. After we got our ID we went through the main entrance there were so many booths giving free items to the people passing i got a free pen, computer disks and loads of papers. It was time for the conference I thought i would die of excitement. We were on the stage there were not that many people I thought there would be more but we just had to do the show.

Day.2
We arrived at the same parking place as yesterday. We walked through the ID counters, an into the UNFCCC's place for the second time but this time we do not have to wait to go into the conference room. But this time there were about fifty people in the applause room.
One of the girls called Bambou she read a poem for the conference they gave a huge applause for the poem that Bambou read.

To know that I am in a world wide nations conference is breath taking. After the confrence we went out side to meet the english enviroment minister. He gave us some flags to hold up and for the photographers to take pictures of the flags. Then after that the rest of the class went back into the UNFCCC but me and my mom went home.
