At the end of last term Grade Six were fortunately able to participatein the UN Conference on Climate Change in Nusa Dua:
We were invited by Ulrike Janssen of Climate Alliance of Germany to present a petition
on behalf of the children of Europe. Ms Janssen came to our class and explained how the children in countries from all over Europe had participated in activities that reduced carbon emmissions and had collected Green Footprints for their work. These footprints were represented on a huge poster and we were to present the poster to the secretary of teh UN Conference on Climate Change, a Dutch man called Iwo. We invited Jost from Grade Seven to join us as we have no Dutch students in Grade Six. We made posters to represent the green footprints to show to the people attending the ceremony.
It was exciting to go in the big bus and at Nusa Dua pass through the security, like being at an airport. There were people rushing everywhere holding brieifcases looking very busy.
We stood on stage to present the poster and we sang our songs to the people in the conference room. We also sang and perfomred outside and lots of photographers came over to take our pictures and interview us.

My name is Mailin and I'd like to talk about the UNFCCC which I attended on the 7th and 13th of December.
The UNFCCC was held in Nusa Dua, Bali, Indonesia. The pupose of this event was to give countries a chance to put forward their idea of how to prvent global warming. Reporters from all over the world had come to get the news on how exactly the conference was progressing. Algore also showed up in Nusa Dua. The UN conference was held from the 2nd of December till the 14th of December 2007. A great effort showed the Sunrise School kids motivating every body to keep our world alive.

The UNFCCC was held on the 2nd untill 14th of December,at Nusa Dua. It was about climate change,global warming and pollution. Important people was there and some other people. They held this because they want to save the from pollution and global warming. The student from Sunrise School performed their show,it was about recycling. Other people use bycycle so they don't create pollution. There was lots of police,they were holding guns because they are in charge of it.

my name is Eka.I go to sunrise school. I remember that there were so many people there. All the people there are nice. they all from different countries. It was very hot,tierd and nervous. But they also give us water in the unfccc. There are so many room. Inside the room is cold and outside the room is so hot. We didn't eat anything. we only eat choclate. The choclate taste good. We perform there. There is so many people promoting. We wait for so long in the unfccconly to perform. I got bored there because we have yo wait for along time. That is our experience in the unfccc.
I attended the UNFCCC. it was relly hot then when we wanted to get through the security. after 2 hours we maded to the card conter place that looked like a air port.
at the time we waited and waited then when the confuraince stared my haert beated relly fast then i did not remember munch then.

My name is Shellie. I attended on the 7th and 13th of December.
When I went to the UNFCCC I was nervous and excited. At the entrance there was alot of machines to check the stuff that you bring. I felt like I'm in airport. It took long time to enter the UNFCCC building. I also had interview from korea MBC news.
I was nervous so I coudln't think what to say, finally I said "The people needs to understand what's going on and what's going to happen in the future on the earth.They needs to show the actions to save the earth."

When I was going to Nusa Dua to present a show to the unfccc for the climate change confrence. When I got there I met my aunt she was one of the securityies. Before we cold perform our show we had to wait for about two hours. While we were waiting we got a tour around the Westin Resort ,afterwe got the tour we sat down and ate some smarties. In the show each of about 2000 children from around the world, each of use were holding sticks with green foot prints on them, the boy's sang one song and the girl's sang another song.It was very exiting.

I went to Nusa Dua with the class. We waited for so long to get inside. I made a name card and when we went inside there were lots of people. It was very hot. We sang some songs. Some of my friends were talking to the reporter. When it was about four o'clock we performed at the adotarium room. It was very big. We performed the green foot-print and the song of recycle. When we finish we went outside and sang again. When it was finish we went back to the bus and went to Nusa Dua beach. We got some soft drinks and ice-cream. It was a very tiring day.
